About the track
United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 10 is about Reduced Inequalities. SDG 10 focuses on “Reducing inequality within and among countries, which threatens long-term social and economic development, undermines poverty reduction efforts, and impacts people’s sense of fulfillment and self-worth. Before COVID-19, the incomes of the poorest 40 percent of the population had been growing faster than the national average in many countries. However, emerging evidence suggests that the pandemic may have reversed this trend.” Innovations like “Equitable resource distribution strategies” and “Social protection programs targeting marginalized groups” are aiding in reaching the targets. For a detailed analysis, stay tuned for our case study on innovations in SDG 10, releasing very soon.
